“We got "that feeling" when we came for a viewing at the Old Gore and knew it was the venue for us. We had absolutely no idea how to go about planning a wedding, but from the first viewing, the lead up to the day, to the big day itself, the staff at the OG couldn't have been more helpful. The feast nights were a fantastic way of getting a literal and metaphorical flavour of what our day would look and taste like, and it made us so excited for our day. Almost three months on, people still rave about the food at our wedding- it was a hugely important part of the day for us and we couldn't have been happier with it. We wanted something a bit more relaxed and "us", but that everyone would enjoy and that tacos and pizza were perfect for that.

Emily was a wonder on the day- the perfect professional, keeping us calm and guiding us through the day and looking after us and our guests wonderfully.

The Old Gore is everything we wanted in a venue. Excellent staff, fantastic food, beautiful buildings and setting. We wish we could do it all again!

“We got married in December 2023 and had the best day imaginable at Old Gore.

From the day we first visited the venue right up to our wedding day the team were nothing short of amazing.

Emily was so brilliant on the day and ensured everything ran exactly as planned. We had Tom looking after us in the evening, who was also absolutely incredible. All the staff were so attentive and made us feel like nothing was too much trouble. All our guests commented on the 10/10 service and we couldn’t be more grateful to all the staff for this.

The food was amazing, the venue is so beautiful! We could not have asked for more. Honestly we made the best decision getting married at Old Gore and would recommend it to everyone.”

“Old Gore Barn was the only wedding venue we looked around, as we instantly fell in love with it and didn’t want to look at any others.

The barn is so beautiful, and it comes decorated with faux-foliage (including foliage chandeliers). The food is INCREDIBLE, we couldn’t believe they could cook such amazing food on such a big scale. However, the best thing about Old Gore is the people. The team cannot do enough to ensure you have the best day, they really do go above and beyond. We really felt that every single person we interacted with was genuinely so excited for our wedding day, and would do anything for it to be perfect.

A huge shout out to Emily, who was the first person to show us around and also was our Wedding Coordinator on the day. She couldn’t do enough for us and offered some great suggestions when we asked for advise from previous weddings she’d seen. All of our suppliers said it’s the most beautiful venue they’d ever been to, and our friends said it’s hands-down the best wedding!We wish we could do our wedding all over again, but in the meantime, we’ll definitely be back for Feast Nights!!”

From speaking to Fred, James and Baz to booking the venue, to the planning, to the actual day to the day after... I am completely lost for words with how incredible each and every one of you made our wedding.

Abby, you are just amazing, your chilled persona, gentle approach and just all round lushness is something neither of us are ever going to forget. When we think of our wedding you will always be the first person to come to mind, we will never be able to thank you enough for literally creating the day of our dreams. You thought of everything and just understood us as a couple. Everyone that met you loved you and we are so grateful and lucky to of had you as our wedding planner. You did things without us even asking and made ideas a reality. 

We couldn't of have had the day we did without you and we will forever be thankful for everything you did for us. 

You kept what was important to us as the focus of the day and it really showed.

Twilight wedding in December with tacos, doughnuts and cheese... you are a bloody genius girl!!!!!

Emily and Arabella you were just as gorgeous and were so quick on responding to any questions we had which 100% eliminated any stress or worries we may of had. Along with abby, as individuals you really excelled our excitement with how happy you were to speak to us, nothing was too much, ever!! Everything went so smoothly and we cannot thank you enough for that.

The venue was just perfect. This one I can keep short and sweet because it was complete perfection!!

Now, the food, wow!! When we were planning the wedding we had a tick list, good company, good food and a building. We got that and so much more from you guys!!! 

We are such foodies, so are our families and friends and the compliments on the choice of food just kept flowing!! Everyone was so impressed, the flavours were insane and whatever that green sauce was it was out of this world!!! So again to the chefs, waiters and waitresses a huge thank you!!!! When you said we would feast you meant it!!!! 

All of the people with dietary requirements said how lovely it was to be remembered and told the dishes infront of them were for them without having to ask or double check. 

It's all in the finer detail which is an everyday job for you but made such a difference to them so thank you.

The bar staff always deserve a shout out and we were told how polite and lovely they were. I hope you all got a drink and to soak your feet after!! 

The amount of work that went into moving the chairs, setting up, clearing up hasn't gone unnoticed, every single person working that night did not go unnoticed and we are so thankful you were there doing the most amazing job with smiles galore!!

I know we have missed so much and to say thank you to you all really doesn't seem enough. We do not have a bad word or quibble or regret about the whole day. You made our wedding what it was and any other couple contemplating using your venue shouldn't even think twice!!”

“We got married here on the 30th of October, 2022. Old Gore is just magic - right from the start, meeting Emily, Clayton, Abbie, Arabella, and team, it felt right as we were after something full of warmth/hygge vibes and all about the food! The team know what they are doing- organised, professional and we had Emily as our designated planner - she was born to do this! Constant communication and prompts, practical ideas and suggestions, it was a delight to have her on side. It made our planning very smooth and genuinely stress-free. The venue itself is beautiful on it's own in an understated way - we chose to add elements and pops of our colour theme on the dining tables & chairs, in the flower wheels in the main barn, and on the side tables around the venue (we had a kids station, a gifts table, chocolate table and sweet station later in the evening). And you don't want to miss your canapes or the drinks because if there is one thing they do well - it is food! The standouts were the karaage chicken starters and the steak alongsided the most amazing dauphinoise potatoes! We had so many compliments about the food and we couldn't have been happier - it really hit the spot for us both and reminded us why we chose OG in the first place! And they made homemade chai! Great team and venue, lots of accommodation options nearby and in Cirencester. We would recommend the OG if you are looking for a beautiful venue in the heart of the Cotswolds that is stress-free and all about good food and vibes!! These guys are worth it!”

We had the best ever time at Old Gore, the venue was stunning, food was incredible and the staff were amazing. Our guests are still raving about the pizza and bao buns.
